Nov 1 Salem's Spooky History Tour - Salem Alliance for Historic Preservation has another fantastic ghost tour of downtown planned for Friday, November 1st. This summer's tours were huge attractions. If you had the opportunity to attend, you know that tour guide Jacob Stotler often referred to William P. Elmer's History of Dent County as a resource found at your local library. The library has many reference materials rich in Salem history. Several books on ghosts and other paranormal phenomena are available as well. Nov 2 Casino Night - An evening in the French Quarters Masquerade Ball. The event features game tables much like the ones you will find in a real casino, as well as professional dealers to run the games. Event ticket holders will receive $10,000 in chip to play the casino games. Craps, roulette and black jack are available. Nov 14 Stained Glass Workshop - The Salem Area Arts Council is hosting a stained-glass workshop on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center behind the Ozark Natural and Cultural Resource Center (ONCRC) and just south of the Farmersí Market. Led by artist and art teacher Amber Pryor, all materials are provided to make a small project to take home. This is a great opportunity for older family members or co-workers to have some bonding time and create a memorable piece of art to commemorate their time together. There is a maximum enrollment of EIGHT, so register early. The cost is $25 and reservations can be made by stopping in at the Ozark Natural and Cultural Resource Center (729-0029) and paying your fee to hold your spot or calling 247-0279 for other arrangements.
