Homer Raulston Edwards opened a grocery and meat market at 405 N. Main Street in 1937.  This business was called Edwards Market.  He eventually moved the business to 110 East Fifth Street (Block 12).  He was in the business at the new location until 1975.  Homer sold his grocery business then to Harold Thomas.
