Description : The Salem Police Department is accepting applications for Full Time and Reserve positions. The Salem Police Department is a 24-7 department. The department employs 13 Full Time Officers. Those Officers fill positions as Patrolman, K9, SRO, Corporals, Detective, Sergeants, Lieutenant and Chief.
Salem, Missouri is in Dent County Missouri with a population of 15,000 in the county and a city population of 4950. The population rises in the Spring, Summer and Fall months due to the nearby Ozark Scenic Riverways and Montauk State Park.

Qualifications:
- Missouri POST license, or currently attending an academy that will be finished within the next 6 months
- Valid Missouri driver's license
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a Physical fitness agility test
- Must be able to pass a detailed background check, criminal history check, and drug screening
- Must be flexible to work all shifts and be capable of multi-tasking
- all applicants will be required to successfully complete a 6-month probationary period
